Hints, Hotels, Jobs and Sunshine in Central Florida!
Orlando is the number One Vacation Destination in the World, The Number One Convention Destination in the World and the Number One Car Rental Destination in the World.(It's also the #1 car rental wrecking destination in the world, but who's counting?) As well as the second fastest growing city in the United States. (15% per year/150% every 10 years. YIPES!)
For those of you who dont know me. welcome! For those of you who do, I'm doing great and working for Coach Usa-Orlando driving large 40 to 50 foot long luxury coaches and conducting guided tours to all kinds of attractions through-out Central Florida. See the LINKS below for some of the places I enjoy going to.
The unemployment rate here is amazingly low.There are tons of jobs and many companies are offering signing incentives to lure people down to Orlando There's not enough people living here to fill the need.
And there is No State Or Local Income Taxes...None, Zip & Nada!
Then there's the weather..it's amazing. What can I say? It get's pretty warm in the summer but it's the winter weather that we all moved down here for. It's in the 70's through-out most of the winter months with very little humidity. In the summer, we hit the beaches or the waterparks.
"How about the rent" you ask? I'm paying around $500 for and apartment 20 minutes from all the attractions which has a POOL and a TENNIS COURT. The gas and electricity is included in the price. I've seen houses as low as $35,000 and as high as $3,000,000. So there's some thing for everyone.
As far as Hotels are concerned, you can stay at a hotel on the main tourist drag (International Drive) and not pay more than $39.95 a night! Not a bad deal..I DO suggest that you write me and make sure that the hotel you are planning on staying at is convenient to the attractions. Alot of hotels here (there are hundreds) will tell you that they are close to everything. Unfortunatly though, just 'cause a hotel is "eight miles from Disney" doesn't mean it's close...that 8 miles can take a half an hour or more if it's out in the sticks.
